What is your role within Scarborough Museums Trust?

As the Office Manager I look after the back office functions such as finance and IT as well as general office/HR admin. I also provide PA support to the Chief Executive. I work with the Board of Trustees in the organisation and administration of meetings and have recently been appointed as the Company Secretary.

What is your favourite item in the collection?

The See-saw from Gladstone Road School

What do you like about this item?

I like objects which tell a story and are part of the history of local people.  I like to imagine the object actually being used. The seesaw is a lovely reminder of the past and it conjures up a wonderful picture of children playing. It even has the remnants of old transfers which were stuck on.

What does Scarborough Collections mean to you?

A fascinating collection of objects which are integral to the history of Scarborough and the surrounding area. It is an exciting and eclectic mix ranging from the smallest photograph to the largest tunny fish.
